For me, Nina is a wonderful and extraordinary artist and of course our artist in permanent residence at the Hotel Beau Séjour. Apart from the art salons, Nina has created all the paintings and sculptures for the Beau Séjour. Nina has lived and worked in Berlin and Lucerne for many years. She currently lives in Mendrisio in Ticino. She attended Fausto Costantini's drama school "Il Cenacolo" in Rome, the University of the Arts in Zurich and the G. Ballardini Art Institute in Faenza. She has received studio scholarships for Berlin, Elba, Vienna, Barbengo and Kansas City. Nina creates a complex oeuvre and thematic installations between sculpture, painting, performance, film, theater and photography. With her theater background, she often develops characters and biographies and then begins to transform them into different media. In this area, the "Big Head" sculptures are her lifelong companions. She has had solo exhibitions at the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Fürth, Museum für Moderne Kunst in Zofingen, MACT/CACT Museo d'Arte Contemporanea, Bellinzona, the Kansas City Artists Coalition and the Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst in Lucerne, among others.
