Gütschwald
You can either take the comfortable cog railway to the Hotel Gütsch for the steep first section or venture on the approximately fifteen-minute climb on foot. Once you arrive at Gütschwald, there are many wonderful options: you can enjoy a coffee, lunch, or dinner on the terrace of the Hotel Gütsch. The Gütschwald forest also invites you to simply stroll through the woods. If you like to take it easy, you can light a fire at the forest hut and grill some delicious sausages. From there, you can continue hiking to the Sonnenberg and descend to Kriens on the other side. Another route leads towards Littau, where you can enjoy a hearty meal at the Ochsen restaurant. Afterwards, you can continue on to Littau train station, where you will find the Emme river and can take a refreshing dip, with the option of a fire and barbecue. After swimming, you can hike back to Lucerne via Emmenbrücke.
